Welcome to our new site!

I have been having so much fun putting this together for everyone. I hope that you will find it useful and informative. 4-H has so much to offer it can be hard to keep track of.

We set this up to be used as a tool for communication, letting everyone know when events are coming, what projects are available to sign up for and soon, the ability to sign up for projects on-line.

More importantly, we can share what we have done with each other. See the kids in action and encourage more involvement by knowing when things are and exactly how much fun we have doing them.

If you have pictures you want to share, please send them to Tami or Ann. We would love to have more slide shows for different events we have particpated in.

Lastly - enjoy!

Christmas Cookies

Sorry for the last minute notice, but I wasn't sure if we would be able to do cookies this year. I wanted to invite everyone to our annual Christmas cookies workshop this weekend and will have an open house from 10am - 4pm this Saturday for anyone that wants to come and join in. It's not an official project, but it's our tradition to have a bake off weekend and enjoy the company of friends. Please feel free to bring your favorite recipe with any special ingredients it may call for (beyond the normal sugar, flour, eggs and butter) and if you would like to bring any other ingredients, give a call before coming over to see if we are running short on anything. Come for a couple hours and have some fun. When you leave, you can take a wonderful assortment of cookies made. Most weekends we will make up to 1,200 cookies, although I am not sure we will bake up to par this year.
Call Tami if you plan on coming and hope to see you on Saturday!

Wreath making class

Our second year of wreath making has been a success! Just a sample of the wreaths we made. See the slideshow for all of them.
Emma made a country style wreath including her favorite animal, a cow!
Great job for her first year!
Sam went with a more modern teenage love theme, filled with hearts and special messages
We had some boys join in this year, as the wreaths fill a boy scout requirement for their craftsman badge. Nicky, one of the youngest kids did an amazing job with his wintertime theme. Filled with snowmen, clear doves and a few gingerbread men.
This was Mia's first year with wreath making. She had so much fun she brought her cousin with her and helped her put a wreath together. The picture doesn't do Mia's wreath justice with blue and silver ribbon and silver flowers. She is a natural!

The whole project was a success and all the kids can't wait to do it again next year!
